On the is­sue of street vend­ing, Lee Sing said a mall would be con­struct­ed at low­er Hen­ry and Char­lotte Streets to ac­com­mo­date 100 stores.He said ten­ants would be al­lowed to op­er­ate from that fa­cil­i­ty for a three-year pe­ri­od.He said by that time "peo­ple should have es­tab­lished their busi­ness­es and move on to oth­er prop­er­ties where they can do their busi­ness."The may­or added: "Af­ter this project the city will not be pro­vid­ing any ad­di­tion­al fa­cil­i­ty for ven­dors to sell any­where in the city."He said some of the peo­ple who now op­er­at­ed as street ven­dors shop in Los An­ge­les and trav­el first class when they go abroad.Lee Sing said the cor­po­ra­tion agreed with the use of wee wee trucks for mas­quer­aders on Car­ni­val Mon­day and Tues­day.He said, how­ev­er, that the trucks would not be al­lowed to go to judg­ing points.
