Also present at the event was Brigadier Roland Maunday, who stated that there was an urgent need for strengthened patrolling and interdiction plans, as T&T was one of the transit points for the flow of narcotics, which he said brought with it arms trafficking and money laundering. Maunday added that the Defence Force had been assisting local law enforcement organisations to combat crime for the past ten years and encouraged officers to be diligent and committed to the task ahead.
