There were several calls for people to go to the stands since people were being pickpocketed and trampled upon. The house announcer said the show would not go on unless they moved to safer points. The show did. Special adviser to William Munro, Gregory Fernandes said peoples' safety was paramount and they only catered for about 35,000. He said: "The show was successful. I call it the SuperBowl of the Caribbean. There was a large turnout; about 35,000-others would say it would be about 45,000. "But we didn't want to print anything near what people are estimating. We built four sets of gates to ensure there was easy entry. There were some challenges because of the size of the crowd. We want to ensure peoples' safety. "I think the artistes put out quite a lot in putting their presentation. We intend to do a review and see there is room of product."

He lauded the moves the People's Partnership had made toward culture. Commenting on the booing of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, he said: "I think it was a reflection of what was going on in other matters. This Government has done an excellent job. CPF will work with them and we are starting to see what the benefits of culture would be like." He lauded Guardian Media Limited for their sterling contribution.
