He said one must now examine why the East Indian nationals of T&T were not applying for jobs in the police service. He said Mohammed had started "a minor storm, which has resulted in many citizens calling on him to resign." Dumas said Mohammed was entitled to his opinion but had handled the matter badly. He said that all that happened was a continuation of the pointing of fingers and the issue was not being properly addressed. Dumas said the role of Sgt Anand Ramesar also must be questioned in the matter. Ramesar wrote a letter to the Commissioner of Police Dwayne Gibbs, claiming because of the ethnic imbalances at the Promotions Advisory Board of the Police Service, he felt he might be unfairly treated at the promotions exam. "Why was the letter copied to the chairman of the commission?" he asked. "Many people were now saying 'like Cro Cro was right'."
