Ghany said when one al­leges there was "ma­li­cious in­tent or sin­is­ter mo­tives" be­hind im­bal­ances with­in any sec­tor in T&T's di­verse so­ci­ety that was like "play­ing with fire." He said we op­er­ate in so­ci­ety where im­bal­ances were "like­ly to take place." Ghany said in the case of lack of East In­di­an rep­re­sen­ta­tion in the Po­lice Ser­vice, one had to look at the deep­er so­cial rea­sons be­hind the im­bal­ance.
