Tuesday is movie night! As part of WeBeat celebrations in St James, the trinidad and tobago film festival (ttff) is hosting a movie night from 7-9. The venue is the St James Amphitheatre and admission is free. Founded in 2006 and presented by Flow, the ttff is an annual celebration of the best films from Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean, the Caribbean diaspora, and from Latin American countries in the Caribbean Basin.
The movies being shown are Africa Unite, a US-made documentary about a Bob Marley tribute concert in Ethiopia, and The Suspect, a dramatic short made by a Trinidadian director. The ttff receives leading sponsorships from RBC/RBTT and is supported by the Trinidad and Tobago Film Company, the National Gas Company and the Tourism Development Corporation.
