The People's National Movement (PNM) is calling on Government to find an appropriate way to honour the legacy of the late cultural icon, Dr Pat Bishop. PNM chairman Franklin Khan read a brief statement on her passing at Balisier House, Port-of-Spain, yesterday during a press conference. The party offered its condolences to Bishop's sister, Gillian, and the extended members of her family. In 1994, Bishop received the country's highest honour-the Trinity Cross. The statement said Bishop worked with several administrations over an expanded period of time. "During her long and distinguished career she has been a university lecturer, pan arranger, par excellence, conductor and musical director and cultural historian," Khan said.
