Curfew affects lifeguard's hours

Dur­ing the state of emer­gency and cur­few in Trinidad and To­ba­go, there will be no life­guards on beach­es across the coun­try af­ter 5 pm. The Min­istry of Tourism has ad­just­ed the work­ing hours of life­guards to en­sure s the safe­ty of beach­go­ers and the life­guards them­selves.

Life­guards, who pick up du­ty at 10 am, will stop pa­trolling the beach at 4.30 pm and leave at 5 pm. These arrange­ments will ap­ply for beach­es un­der the ju­ris­dic­tion of Min­istry of Tourism in Trinidad: Ma­yaro, Man­zanil­la, Saly­bia, Mara­cas, Tyri­co, Las Cuevas, Los Iros, Ves­signy and Quinam. The To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly is re­spon­si­ble for beach­es in To­ba­go.
