Over the past decade, women have been perceived as having limited capacity to own and manage businesses traditionally dominated by men. These include manufacturing, IT, and other types of non-traditional sectors.
However, with the current entrepreneurial evolution, female entrepreneurs have been at the forefront demonstrating their strength in managing their respective businesses, and it is against this background that a series of four (4) workshops themed Fem N'eurs – Unleashing the True Potential were developed.
Hosted by CME Consulting Ltd, the initiative is aimed at developing and enhancing the skills of female entrepreneurs towards the success and sustainability of their businesses, as well as effectively promoting the concept of entrepreneurship to women.
The issues which will be explored and discussed are both innovative and relevant to today's (female) entrepreneurs, and include: The Psychology of Entrepreneurial Success – Identifying and Treating with Green Colour Crime; Financial and Legal Issues Affecting Female Entrepreneurs – Innovative Strategies to Get the Capital you need; Crowd Funding and TechnoMarketing.
Workshops will be held at the Capital Plaza (formerly Crowne Plaza Hotel) on January 16 and 30 from 8 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 5 pm each day.
The all-female team of facilitators and presenters are also entrepreneurs and comprise: Angela Lee Loy – executive chairman, Aegis Business Solutions; Gail Merhair – managing director, GM Advertising; Gloria Eastman – managing director, Eastman and Associates; Claudia Pegus – managing director, Claudia Pegus Designs Limited, Judy Joseph-McSween, chief executive officer, Meredith McSween International and Judith MS Mark – managing director, CME Consulting Ltd.
