A week of sur­veil­lance by po­lice has led to the dis­cov­ery of more than $2 mil­lion worth of co­caine at a house in Ch­agua­nas.On Tues­day, Ch­agua­nas Rob­bery Squad of­fi­cers re­ceived a tip-off that the co­caine was be­ing pack­aged for ship­ment and swooped down on the house at Cassie Av­enue, En­deav­our.As the of­fi­cers ap­proached the house, they saw a man run­ning through the back door.

Al­though they chased af­ter him, the man man­aged to es­cape through a forest­ed area.Up­on search­ing the house, the of­fi­cers found 12 plas­tic buck­ets con­tain­ing gyp­sum com­pound in a bed­room. A fur­ther search of the buck­ets re­vealed 12 pack­ages of co­caine wrapped in clear plas­tic.The pack­ages were tak­en to the Ch­agua­nas Po­lice Sta­tion and lat­er trans­ferred to the Or­gan­ised Crime Nar­cotics and Firearms Bu­reau yes­ter­day for test­ing.

No one has since been ar­rest­ed but in­ves­ti­ga­tors are con­fi­dent the sus­pect will be held soon.They de­scribed the drug bust as a ma­jor break­through in their fight against crime and vowed to crack down on the il­le­gal drug trade in the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion.
