On Friday July 12th 2013, the Honourable Dr. Rupert Griffith, Minister of Science and Technology presented Instruments of Appointment to members of the new Board of the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT) who were installed for a two year term.

This two-year period does not apply to the chairman of the board, Selby Wilson, whose term in office is three years and was sworn in on February 1st 2011 at TATT's Barataria office.

Minister Griffith in his address, encouraged the board "to pursue increased innovativeness, creativity and good governance" as TATT continues its pursuit of the development of the country's telecommunications and broadcasting sectors.

In his remarks, Wilson outlined a number of critical initiatives now engaging the attention of TATT including the introduction of number portability and a third mobile telephone provider as well as implementation of an Internet Exchange Point.
