PNM senator: ILP a zaboca party

Ch­agua­nas West can­di­date of the Peo­ple's Na­tion­al Move­ment Avinash Singh said on Wednes­day he would play deaf to all the crit­ics who were seek­ing to dis­cour­age him from con­test­ing the Ju­ly 29 by-elec­tion. He said that at the first pub­lic meet­ing of the par­ty at New Set­tle­ment Recre­ation Ground, Ca­roni Sa­van­nah Road.Singh said that he would turn a deaf ear to those crit­ics and fo­cus on win­ning the by-elec­tion. He said he had the sup­port of the old­est and most sta­ble par­ty in the coun­try.

Singh spoke of plans to de­vel­op agri­cul­ture and oth­er projects to de­vel­op the com­mu­ni­ty. He said he want­ed to "ig­nite the pas­sion of pa­tri­o­tism" in the coun­try.He said the PNM was the best par­ty to ad­vance Ch­agua­nas West. Chair­man of the meet­ing was Op­po­si­tion Sen­a­tor Ter­rance Deyals­ingh.He said the new In­de­pen­dent Lib­er­al Par­ty (ILP) was a zabo­ca. He said it was green on the out­side and yel­low on the in­side. The PNM was no zabo­ca par­ty, he added.
