Warner releases new audio evidence

For­mer Min­is­ter of Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty­Jack Warn­er has re­leased a new au­dio record­ing pur­port­ed to be of an ex-Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty Min­is­ter dis­cussing a mar­i­jua­na find.

It comes days af­ter news broke of an al­le­ga­tion from Warn­er that a quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na was dis­cov­ered­out­side the pri­vate res­i­dence of Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar in Phillip­ine.

The record­ing was re­leased this af­ter­noon at a news con­fer­ence held by Warn­er at the Cen­tre of Ex­cel­lence, Ma­coya.

Warn­er has claimed that he, Hous­ing Min­is­ter Roodal Mooni­lal, ex-Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty Min­is­ter Gary Grif­fith and for­mer DCP Mervyn Richard­son par­tic­i­pat­ed in 2013 in a cov­er-up of the al­leged dis­cov­ery of four ounces of mar­i­jua­na out­side a win­dow on the Prime Min­is­ter's prop­er­ty.

A num­ber of Gov­ern­ment and Po­lice of­fi­cials–in­clud­ing Roodal Mooni­lal, Er­rol Mc Leod and Su­ru­jrat­tan Ram­bachan–have dis­tanced them­selves from the al­le­ga­tions.

For­mer Min­is­ter of Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty Gary Grif­fith al­so­de­nied Warn­er's claim.
