984 new COVID cases, 17 new deaths

The dai­ly num­ber in­fec­tions from COVID-19 have come per­ilous­ly close to one thou­sand, as the Min­istry of Health record­ed some 984 new pos­i­tive cas­es to­day, Fri­day 3 De­cem­ber 2021.

In its lat­est up­date, the Min­istry al­so is record­ing 17 new deaths from the dis­ease, mov­ing the na­tion­al death toll to 2,215 lives lost.

In ad­di­tion, the 984 new pos­i­tive cas­es, based on sam­ples tak­en be­tween No­vem­ber 30th and De­cem­ber 3rd, mean that there are now 11,707 ac­tive cas­es of COVID-19 in the coun­try, at this time.

More than 10,000 peo­ple cur­rent­ly are in home self-iso­la­tion, with 108 in state quar­an­tine fa­cil­i­ties.
