An­gli­can Vic­ar Gen­er­al, Ven­er­a­ble Ed­win Primus has ad­vised that all An­gli­can church ser­vices are be­ing sus­pend­ed with im­me­di­ate ef­fect.

The fol­low­ing is a state­ment by the Vic­ar Gen­er­al:

“Dear Broth­ers and Sis­ters,

Fur­ther to the Bish­op’s let­ter to you on the sub­ject of the COVID 19 and in as much as Trinidad and To­ba­go has con­firmed two cas­es to­geth­er with the re­cent in­for­ma­tion shared by the Min­is­ter of Health, the Min­is­ter of Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty and Dr. Trot­man at to­day’s press con­fer­ence, all Church ser­vices are sus­pend­ed with im­me­di­ate ef­fect un­til fur­ther no­tice.

We urge you to con­tin­ue your de­vo­tions at home and to lis­ten to the An­gli­can Voice on I.95.5fm to­mor­row Sun­day 15th March from 8.00p.m. for ad­di­tion­al in­for­ma­tion on the way for­ward.

We con­tin­ue to pray for our Na­tion in this cri­sis.”
