Two days af­ter the body of a Cou­va man was found in the Ca­roni Riv­er – an­oth­er body has been dis­cov­ered in the mud­dy wa­ter. The de­com­pos­ing corpse was re­port­ed­ly dis­cov­ered around 7 am by the Hunters Search and Res­cue Team led by Val­lence Ramb­harat.

The group’s as­sis­tance was re­port­ed­ly re­quest­ed last night, af­ter law en­force­ment re­ceived in­for­ma­tion that an­oth­er body had been spot­ted. The uniden­ti­fied body was found ap­prox­i­mate­ly two km west of the Ca­roni Riv­er Bridge, along the North­bound Lane of the Uri­ah But­ler High­way.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors were un­able to say if the two dis­cov­er­ies, days apart, were con­nect­ed. Ramb­harat said just like Tues­day’s dis­cov­ery, this body had been trapped un­der de­bris and branch­es in the riv­er.

The body found on Tues­day has since been iden­ti­fied as Dami­an Nurse – who was al­leged­ly miss­ing for close to three weeks.
