The Min­istry of Health has record­ed an­oth­er COVID-19 re­lat­ed death, an el­der­ly fe­male with co-mor­bidi­ties.

This brings the to­tal num­ber of deaths to 56.

The to­tal num­ber of ac­tive cas­es stands at 2329.

The Min­istry of Health pro­vides the fol­low­ing clin­i­cal up­date as of the morn­ing of Tues­day, 15th Sep­tem­ber, 2020:

Num­ber of sam­ples sub­mit­ted to the Caribbean Pub­lic Health Agency (CARPHA), the UWI and oth­er lo­cal sites for test­ing for COVID-19. 27,621

The Min­istry of Health pro­vides the fol­low­ing up­date:

· 42 ad­di­tion­al per­sons have test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID -19.

The 42 pos­i­tive cas­es re­port­ed show re­sults from sam­ples tak­en dur­ing the pe­ri­od Sep­tem­ber 4th to Sep­tem­ber 14th, 2020. There­fore, this fig­ure is NOT rep­re­sen­ta­tive of the pos­i­tive cas­es over the last 24 hours on­ly. All es­tab­lished pro­to­cols have been im­ple­ment­ed.

· The Min­istry of Health re­grets to in­form the pub­lic that there is an ad­di­tion­al COVID-19 re­lat­ed death. The per­son is an el­der­ly fe­male, with co-mor­bidi­ties. This brings the to­tal num­ber of COVID-19 re­lat­ed deaths to 56.

· 11 per­sons have been dis­charged.

(2061) pa­tients have been home iso­lat­ed un­der the con­tin­u­ous mon­i­tor­ing of the re­spec­tive Coun­ty Med­ical Of­fi­cer Health (CMOH) of­fices.
