An Arima man is due to appear before a Siparia Magistrate today, charged with the chopping death of Tahilla St. Clair, which occurred on Monday 3rd September, 2018.
Kester D’abreo, 31, a labourer of Malabar, Arima, was charged with the offence, following advice received from the acting Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Angelica Teelucksingh, on Sunday 9th September, 2018.
St Clair, 27, was at her Beach Road, Palo Seco home around 11:50 pm with her five-year-old son on Monday 3rd September, when she was attacked by a man known to her.
She was chopped about the head and later died at the Siparia Health Facility.
The suspect was held in the vicinity of the victim’s house, by officers of the Santa Flora Police Station.
Inspector Darryl Coorie and Cpl Stephen Forbes led the case and D’Abreo was charged by Corporal Henry Smith all of Homicide Bureau of Investigations on Sunday.
