A 22-year-old Ari­ma man was ar­rest­ed yes­ter­day for pos­ses­sion of a firearm and re­lat­ed para­pher­na­lia.

Of­fi­cers were on pa­trol on Right­eous Lane in Pin­to, Ari­ma, when they saw the sus­pect throw­ing a bag on the side of the road­way. He was held and the bag was searched.

A black met­al bar­rel-type mag­a­zine, and a black rub­ber and met­al ex­tend­ed butt be­lieved to be for a firearm were found in the bag.

The man was ar­rest­ed and tak­en to the Ari­ma Po­lice Sta­tion where he is ex­pect­ed to be charged with pos­ses­sion of a firearm.
