The Tu­na­puna/Pi­ar­co Re­gion­al Cor­po­ra­tion has de­stroyed the guard booth which was erect­ed in Bam­boo #2.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands that the cor­po­ra­tion work­ers ac­com­pa­nied by po­lice went to the area at around 5 o’ clock this morn­ing to take down the con­tentious struc­ture.

Fol­low­ing the de­mo­li­tion, ac­tivist In­shan Ish­mael said the res­i­dents will now have to de­cide what the next move would be.

How­ev­er, Ish­mael said he has al­ready asked his at­tor­ney to draft a Free­dom of In­for­ma­tion Act (FOIA) re­quest to show the chain of events in re­la­tion to this mat­ter.
