23-year-old Brandon John of Barataria was charged with the murder of Roxanne Barrow-Reyes and shooting with intent against a 39-year-old man.
He was also charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of a firearm to endanger life and possession of ammunition to endanger life.

A 23-year-old man is expected to appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Roxanne Barrow-Reyes and shooting with intent against a 39-year-old man, which occurred on June 8th, 2022.
BRANDON JOHN, of Barataria, was also charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of a firearm to endanger life and possession of ammunition to endanger life, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Wednesday 15th, 2022.
Barrow-Reyes, 48, of Barataria, was standing outside her business place in the district with some other persons on June 8th, 2022, when they were approached by a lone gunman who allegedly shot in the direction of the group. Barrow-Reyes was hit and fell to the ground, after which the gunman allegedly stood over her and shot at her again before making his escape. A 39-year-old man was also shot and wounded during the incident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The accused was arrested in connection with the incident on Saturday 11th June 2022, by officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Two.
Investigations into the matter were supervised by ASP Douglas, W/Insp. Sylvester and Insp. Ramjag and John, all of the HBI Region Two.
John was charged with the offences by PC Joseph, on Thursday 16th June 2022, also of HBI Region Two.
