An uniden­ti­fied body has been found float­ing along the Cunu­pia Riv­er.

The gris­ly dis­cov­ery was made at around 6 o’ clock this morn­ing.

The body was said to be float­ing face down in the wa­ter.  It was found to be in a de­com­pos­ing state.

Guardian Me­dia was told that fish­er­men who store their fish­ing pirogues by the cre­ma­tion site Lakhan Kar­ri­ah in Fe­lic­i­ty went to se­cure them be­cause of ap­proach­ing storm when they made the hor­rif­ic dis­cov­ery.

The body was viewed by the Dis­trict Med­ical Of­fi­cer who or­dered its re­moval to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre pend­ing an au­top­sy and iden­ti­fi­ca­tion.
