A 16-year-old boy from Chatham Vil­lage, Ce­dros, es­caped death af­ter two gun­men opened fire on him.

The teenag­er was shot twice but did not suf­fer any life-threat­en­ing in­juries.

Po­lice said at 6.30 pm Mon­day, the teen was walk­ing along Sun­set Beach Road in Point Fortin when he saw two men with their faces cov­ered walk­ing from the side of a house.

Each man was armed with a gun. They point­ed the weapons at him and opened fire. He got shot in his left an­kle and right in­step. The sus­pects then ran off. The 16-year-old was tak­en to the Point Fortin Hos­pi­tal where he was treat­ed and kept for ob­ser­va­tion.

Of­fi­cers from the Point Fortin Po­lice Sta­tion are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
