A 65-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Dillon Straughn.
A police press release said Walley Sinaswee, of Bank Village, Carapichaima, was charged with the offence, following advice received from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Joan Honore-Paul on Tuesday.
Straughn, 24, a labourer of Carapichaima, was found dead in a purple Nissan Wingroad motor vehicle on April 30, 2022, following a shooting incident in the Bank Village district. Officers subsequently recovered one firearm at the scene.
One man was arrested in connection with the incident shortly after.
Investigations were supervised by Supt Dhilpaul of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region Three, while Sinaswee was charged by PC Noel, also of HBI Region Three, on Tuesday (June 7).
