The Chaguanas Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CCIC) has said it wants to acknowledge and applaud T&T Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s (TTCIC’s) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gabriel Faria as he moves into a new season of his career.
The Chamber issued a statement in light of the announcement that Ian R De Souza will replace Faria as TTCIC CEO effective today.
“During his tenure as CEO of the TTCIC, Mr Faria was an outspoken and fearless advocate for the business community in T&T. His passion for growing businesses and promoting the economic development of the country will not be forgotten,” the CCIC said in the statement.
CCIC president Richie Sookhai said: “When Mr Faria spoke truth to power, the business community in T&T knew that they were not alone. Additionally, the wisdom of his perspectives can be applied to businesses of varying sizes and across industries.”
The CCIC said that as Faria enters a new phase of his life, “we are certain that the business community in the country is looking forward to gleaning from his mentorship and guiding expertise. We at the CCIC applaud Mr Faria as he makes way for his successor Ian De Souza. The CCIC wishes Mr De Souza all the best in his tenure as CEO of the TTCIC.”
