Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Chief Secretary Kelvin Charles is urging Tobagonians to come forward with information to help solve the double murder at Buccoo on Thursday.
"I am calling on the Tobago public to come forward with the information you may have that can assist the police in apprehending those responsible for this senseless killing," he said in a written statement.
John "Joker" Mills, 70, and his common-law wife Eulyn John, 61, of Cocrico Avenue, Buccoo, were found hogtied and stabbed at their home.
Charles described their murders as "despicable and disgusting" and called on the police "to will move swiftly to arrest and charge the perpetrator/s."
He said the murders "can only have the effect of damaging the Tobago brand and undermine the hard work the Assembly has been doing to build Tobago as the preferred destination for visitors."
Tobago's murder toll for the year now stands at five.
