Chut­ney So­ca Artistes have come to­geth­er to spread their mes­sage about tak­ing the vac­cine to fight against the COVID-19 virus. The fol­low­ing is a press re­lease from Southex:

‘Let’s get vac­ci­nat­ed’

Chut­ney So­ca artistes have come to­geth­er and have launched a project that con­tains a spe­cial song and mu­sic video that they hope will mo­ti­vate peo­ple to go out and get vac­ci­nat­ed.

Covid-19 con­tin­ues to af­fect the world and our na­tion in sig­nif­i­cant ways. Peo­ple are dy­ing every sin­gle day.

Trinidad & To­ba­go con­tin­ues to reg­is­ter deaths on a dai­ly ba­sis with more than 1200 fam­i­lies mourn­ing the loss of loved ones.

The au­thor­i­ties have done a good job in get­ting vac­cines and mak­ing them read­i­ly avail­able to the pub­lic, but be­cause of so much mis-in­for­ma­tion out there on so­cial me­dia, there are peo­ple out there who have de­cid­ed that they will not take the vac­cine for dif­fer­ent rea­sons.

While we re­spect their de­ci­sion, we hope that every­one will get all the in­for­ma­tion avail­able, check with their doc­tors and re­think their de­ci­sion, as we be­lieve that this is the on­ly way out of this pan­dem­ic that has trau­ma­tised the world for al­most two years.

About two weeks ago, Southex was ap­proached by Dr. Roodal Mooni­lal. He had a gen­uine con­cern for peo­ple who did not want to take the vac­cine, and at the time had lost many friends to the dread­ed virus.

The project be­ing launched to­day was ini­ti­at­ed and as­sist­ed by Dr Roodal Mooni­lal with fi­nan­cial sup­port from the busi­ness com­mu­ni­ty. When Dr. Mooni­lal ap­proached us, we thought it would be a great idea to mar­ket and mo­ti­vate peo­ple to go out there and get the vac­cine through com­e­dy and mu­sic.

Ken­neth Su­per­sad and mu­sic pro­duc­er, Kishore ‘Wiz­zy’ Ram­dath pro­duced this song and this morn­ing we are very pleased to be re­leas­ing an ‘of­fi­cial song, an of­fi­cial mu­sic video and a spe­cial episode of Nah all ded­i­cat­ed to en­cour­ag­ing peo­ple to get vac­ci­nat­ed.

‘Let’s get vac­ci­nat­ed’ has been sup­port­ed by sev­er­al artistes – Spe­cial ku­dos to Ravi b Even though he was out of the coun­try, he not on­ly added his voice and im­age to the project, but al­so sent a spe­cial mes­sage to every­one.

The song has been writ­ten by Ken­neth Su­per­sad with mu­sic pro­duced by Wiz­zy and Ken­neth Su­per­sad. Video pro­duc­tion was done by Play­back Pro­duc­tions, Vern Teekas­ingh.

The voic­es on the track are from Ravi b, Ken­neth Su­per­sad, Mas­ter Saleem, Savi­ta Singh, Rawytee Ram­roop, Adesh Sama­roo, Nisha Ram­sook and Vee­jai Ramkissoon. Spe­cial thanks to all these artistes that took the time to go to the stu­dio and al­so gave of their time to cre­ate the of­fi­cial mu­sic video.

It is our sin­cere hope that peo­ple will be mo­ti­vat­ed by the ef­forts the Chut­ney So­ca In­dus­try has made to do this.

We ask you to please go out and get your vac­cine. The au­thor­i­ties have made it eas­i­ly ac­ces­si­ble to get the vac­cine no mat­ter where you are in the coun­try.
