Three men narrowly escaped death on Thursday night after gunmen opened fire on a group of residents who were at the Alcan Fishing Bay, Carenage.
The victims included four men from various locations in Carenage, including Haig Street and Neckles Drive.
Reports indicate the four were sitting under a shed at the fishing depot around 9.10 pm when a blue and white car drove in and two masked occupants exited and began firing at them.
As the assailants drove off, nearby residents rushed to assist the men. Checks revealed none of the men were injured in the incident. Four 9 mm spent shell casings were recovered at the scene.
And in a separate incident at La Baja Road, Maracas, St Joseph, around 9.50 pm on Thursday—the house and vehicle belonging to a 39-year-old was shot at by unknown gunmen.
The owner told police he was at home when he heard loud explosions, and upon checking found bullet holes along the northern side of the building, whilst his black Mitsubishi CS3 Lancer car, which had been parked in the driveway, bore multiple bullet holes.
