A firearm, 25 rounds of am­mu­ni­tion and 1,494 grams of mar­i­jua­na were found and seized in Cen­tral Di­vi­sion by of­fi­cers of the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Task Force and Las Lo­mas Po­lice Sta­tion dur­ing an­ti­crime ex­er­cis­es last evening.

Dur­ing the ex­er­cise of­fi­cers pro­ceed­ed to the Ven­dor’s Mall, Ch­agua­nas, a search was con­duct­ed on the com­pound and a quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na was found.

The mar­i­jua­na was weighed and to­talled 1,494 grammes with an es­ti­mat­ed street val­ue of TT$12000.

No one was ar­rest­ed for the find.

Ad­di­tion­al­ly, of­fi­cers of the Las Lo­mas Po­lice Sta­tion dur­ing an in­tel­li­gence-led ex­er­cise pro­ceed­ed to Narindeth Trace, Las Lo­mas where they ob­served a man run­ning through the bush­es near an aban­doned con­crete struc­ture.

Of­fi­cers made checks to the area and found a plas­tic bag con­tain­ing one Jen­nings 9mm pis­tol fit­ted with mag­a­zine and two rounds 9mm am­mu­ni­tion al­so a white plas­tic bag con­tain­ing 25 rounds .40 cal­i­bre am­mu­ni­tion.

The items were se­cured and tak­en pos­ses­sion of.

No ar­rests were made dur­ing the find.
