What are your New Year's resolutions?
Marlene Rawlins, Diego Marin, entrepreneur: I would like to see us as the human race succeed; to wake up, and spend money wisely, we have to recognise that we're now coming out of a pandemic. For us to love one another, for young people to come off of the crime, too much killing in a little space like this.
We have to love one another, go to church, and see God.
Cassie Smith.
KERWIN PIERRE
Cassie Smith, Las Cuevas, teaching assistant: My New Year's resolution is just to better myself and improve in stuff, nothing really major. I've been a good person the entire year and every day you could make changes.
Keeda
KERWIN PIERRE
Keeda (Supreme Balance), Port-of-Spain, businessman: I want to win the Lotto bad, bad because I tired suffer. Poverty is hell. When I win the Lotto I could put things in place, one of the things on my agenda is to feed the homeless. Love in the heart.
Tommie Chan Sun
KERWIN PIERRE
Tommie Chan Sun, Sangre Grande, human rights activist: What I want is for the Government to be fair to the people concerning their constitutional rights. There are many laws that I pull up concerning laws that were amended and only mention different information about rules and regulations and not addressing what affects the people like social welfare, emergency acts, flooding and rampant crime.
Petra Cayman
KERWIN PIERRE
Petra Cayman, Maraval, the owner of Be Spoke Beads by Jay: For my New Year's resolution, I want to see people living in unity, with more peace and abundance, of love that we live in balance. I also wish for abundance for everyone including myself.
La-Shauna Yatali
KERWIN PIERRE
La-Shauna Yatali, Moruga, Caribbean Artisan owner: It's more of a wish that more people take better care of themselves, especially their health. I would like to see more abundance, more peace, and more healing in our nation as well. I do skincare, I see that a lot of people are taking more interest in their health and skin and in their outlook in terms of general health and holistic being. I just want everybody to be happy in the New Year, we all deserve that given all the challenges this year, like the high crime rate and natural disasters.
