?Po­lice raid­ed a pop­u­lar Ch­agua­nas ho­tel yes­ter­day, and ar­rest­ed four Guyanese men and 18 women from San­to Domin­go, Venezuela and Colom­bia. The women, aged 18 to 28, were ar­rest­ed on a range of of­fences, in­clud­ing il­le­gal en­try, tam­per­ing with le­gal doc­u­ments, breach of de­por­ta­tion or­ders, and over-stay­ing their time.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said be­tween 10 pm and 2 am, of­fi­cers from the Port-of-Spain Task Force, led by Supt Hack­ett, and in­clud­ing Sgts Gary Ed­wards and Mervyn Ed­wards, Cpl Ad­jod­ha, Cpl Lu­cian and Im­mi­gra­tion Of­fi­cer Rudy Ma­haraj, went to the ho­tel at Chase Vil­lage, Ch­agua­nas. They found sev­er­al of the for­eign­ers in pos­ses­sion of pass­ports and fraud­u­lent stamps.
