Po­lice are yet to es­tab­lish a mo­tive for the shoot­ing death of a 51-year-old man on Mon­day night.Os­car David, al­so known as "Ras," was shot sev­er­al times while dri­ving through Hum­ming­bird Cir­cu­lar in Pe­tit Val­ley around 7 pm, in­ves­ti­ga­tors said.

Re­ports state that up­on be­ing hit, David crashed in­to a parked car at the side of the road. West­ern Di­vi­sion­al Task Force of­fi­cers, who were on pa­trol in the area, re­spond­ed and spot­ted David slumped in his car.

He was tak­en to the St James Med­ical Com­plex where he was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival.

Up to late yes­ter­day af­ter­noon, a par­ty of of­fi­cers un­der In­sp Hen­ry Dann were search­ing for sus­pects.
