?Two men are expected to appear before the Arima and Sangre Grande Magistrates' Courts today charged with two separate murders.
Officers of the Homicide Bureau received instructions from acting Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Roger Gaspard to charge a man of Palm Trace, Valencia, with the murder of Orende Mwando Reyes, 20, alias "Half-a-Man." Reyes went missing on September, 17. His body was found in a shallow grave by officers of the Eastern Divisional Task Force on Monday with multiple chop wounds.
That suspect was charged by acting Sgt Dookie of the Valencia Police Post. In the other matter a 20-year-old of KP Lands Valencia, would appear in the Arima court for the killing of Gerald Samaroo, who went missing on September, 9. His body was found with injuries to the head at a river on Aripo Road, Arima, two days later. Investigations into both homicides were supervised by acting ASP Johnny Abraham, Insp Stanley Ramdeen, Sgt Eric Parks and PC Sunil Ramoutar.
