The mur­der toll moved to 413 Tues­day night, af­ter the killing of a 33-year-old Mor­vant man. Po­lice said Bane Joseph, of Pel­i­can Ex­ten­sion, was stand­ing at the cor­ner of Leo­taud and Par­ris Streets in Mor­vant around 9 pm when a man ac­cost­ed, and shot him sev­er­al times about the body.

Joseph died on the scene. Some two hours be­fore Joseph's killing, scores of spec­ta­tors at a small goal foot­ball match were forced to scam­per for safe­ty when gun­men opened fire on a group of men in Laven­tille. Four men were wound­ed.

Po­lice said around 7 pm, three gun­men stormed a bas­ket­ball court at Trou Macaque while the match was in progress. The four peo­ple who were in­jured were iden­ti­fied as Dil­lon Fer­di­nand, 22, Lyn­don Charles, 23, Nati­sa Beni­court, 19, and Kei­th Har­ris, 22. The men un­der­went emer­gency surgery at Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal.
