?A 40-year-old Mayaro man is expected to appear before a Mayaro magistrate today, charged with incest and grievous sexual assault, and ten counts of indecent assault.
Police said the 16-year-old girl complained to a school friend about the problem. Her friend told the victim's parent. The parent confronted the child and then reported the matter to the police. A report said the acts started on August 1, last year. The girl was taken to the Mayaro Health Facility where she was examined. PC Toussaint of the Mayaro Police laid the charges.
