?Homi­cide de­tec­tives were last night ques­tion­ing two sus­pects, one of whom is 16 years old, in con­nec­tion with two mur­ders, which oc­curred sep­a­rate­ly at Point Fortin and Moru­ga. The first mur­der oc­curred around 9 pm on Fri­day. Po­lice said Har­ry Sook­lal, 28, a car­pen­ter of 13 Pe­tite Cafe Road, In­di­an Walk was gam­bling down­stairs of a house lo­cat­ed close to his home, when three masked men walked in bran­dish­ing hand guns. The man fired one shot which struck Sook­lal on the chest. The of­fi­cers ar­rest­ed a 28-year-old sus­pect of Fort George Road, In­di­an Walk, Moru­ga. Po­lice said more ar­rests are im­mi­nent.

Mean­while, in a sep­a­rate in­ci­dent, a 19-year-old youth died yes­ter­day, af­ter be­ing stabbed five times about the body. Po­lice said around 8.30 am, Cur­win Be­deau, of TNA Road, Point Fortin was lim­ing with a friend, when the friend got in­to an ar­gu­ment with the 16-year-old sus­pect. The sus­pect be­came en­raged and whipped out a knife. He then stabbed Be­deau five times in the face, head and chest. Be­deau fell to the ground and died on the spot.
