?Three women were grant­ed $5,000 bail each yes­ter­day, when they ap­peared be­fore a Port-of-Spain mag­is­trate charged with at­tempt­ing to mur­der an­oth­er woman. Vanes­sa Val­ley, 20, of L'Anse Mi­tan Road, Care­nage; Khiel­la Cox, 18, of East Dry Riv­er, Port-of-Spain; and Sachel Thomas, 18, of Her­man-Scott Street, Laven­tille; stood be­fore Sev­enth Court Mag­is­trate Bri­an Dibadeen. They are charged with at­tempt­ing to mur­der Rachel Arneaud on Char­lotte Street and in Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, on De­cem­ber 12.

Court pros­e­cu­tor Sgt Di­anne Box­hill told the mag­is­trate the al­leged in­ci­dent oc­curred af­ter "a mes­sage" was post­ed on In­ter­net so­cial net­work, Face­book. Ac­cord­ing to the pros­e­cu­tor, the ac­cused con­front­ed Arneaud on Char­lotte Street, and she was al­leged­ly stabbed about the body with a knife. It is fur­ther al­leged that Arneaud was at­tacked and stabbed a sec­ond time while seek­ing med­ical at­ten­tion at Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal. The ac­cused were rep­re­sent­ed by at­tor­neys Liana Ram­sa­hai, Fa­reed Ali and Mil­liard Howard. The mat­ter was ad­journed to Jan­u­ary 29. (AS)
