Ak­ile Si­mon

A well-known so­ca artiste was ar­rest­ed yes­ter­day in con­nec­tion with an armed rob­bery in Freeport. Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, short­ly be­fore 3 pm, of­fi­cers of the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Task Force re­spond­ed to a re­port of a rob­bery at a busi­ness place in Freeport which in­volved the artiste's ve­hi­cle. Of­fi­cers went in search of the sus­pect and re­ceived an­oth­er re­port that the artiste al­so was in­volved in a house-break­ing in the area. The of­fi­cers lat­er vis­it­ed his home and ar­rest­ed him. A short dis­tance away, an­oth­er sus­pect was held dri­ving the artiste's ve­hi­cle, which was ear­li­er iden­ti­fied as be­ing in­volved in the rob­bery. Both sus­pects and the ve­hi­cle were tak­en to the Ch­agua­nas Po­lice Sta­tion. Up to late last night, the men were be­ing quizzed by de­tec­tives.
