A prime murder suspect nursing a gunshot wound is among four suspects held by northern division detectives yesterday afternoon.
Around 4 o'clock a party of officers from the St Joseph CID were at Abercromby Street in St Joseph when they spotted four men in a car acting suspiciously.
Among the officers were Sgts Sheldon David, Basdeo Sinanan, Cpls Egan Reyes and Andon Francis and PC Gerard Pontiflet. The vehicle was then intercepted and searched during which a Smith and Wesson revolver and 15 rounds of ammunition were discovered.
The murder suspect, police said, was nursing a wound to the right arm. The officers were yesterday commended for their vigilance by acting Senior Supt Stephen Ramsubhag.
