A 38-year-old man was killed yes­ter­day af­ter he was shot by a gun­man at Dibe Road, Long Cir­cu­lar. A re­port said Moses "Swing Eye" Thomas was stand­ing at Dibe Road around 12.50 pm when a car drove up in front him and a man alight­ed from the ve­hi­cle.

The man opened fire on Thomas who was shot three times about the body. Res­i­dents im­me­di­ate­ly no­ti­fied the po­lice. He was rushed to the St James Med­ical Com­plex where he was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival. Sgt A Lawrence, Cpl Grant and PCs Nurse, Selice and Mungroo vis­it­ed the scene.

De­tec­tives said they are work­ing on a the­o­ry that Thomas's death was pos­si­bly drug-re­lat­ed. He did not have a crim­i­nal record. Up to late yes­ter­day evening, no sus­pects were ap­pre­hend­ed by the po­lice. Homi­cide of­fi­cers are con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions. Up to late yes­ter­day the mur­der toll for the year stood at 342.
