An Arima man continued to fight for his life up to late yesterday, after a brutal cutlass attack on Tuesday. Ronald Abraham, 21, was chopped on his head, face, hands and other parts of his body, during an argument with the assailant. Police sources said Abraham, of Ready Mix Road, Guanapo, Arima, went to the home of the attacker whom he knew, around 8.30 am to retrieve a saw.
Abraham and the man reportedly got into an argument, during which the man pulled out a cutlass and began chopping him. He was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope, where he remained warded up to late yesterday. The suspect was later held at his home in San Raphael. Police also seized a weapon cutlass. He is expected to be charged today.
