Two foreigners to answer drug charges

An Amer­i­can na­tion­al will ap­pear to­day be­fore an Ari­ma mag­is­trate charged with pos­ses­sion of co­caine. Po­lice said the woman was held on Fri­day at Pi­ar­co In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port al­leged­ly with 150 grammes of co­caine. She was at­tempt­ing to board Amer­i­can Air­lines flight AA1647 to New York around 2.55 pm. Mean­while, a Ja­maican na­tion­al will ap­pear be­fore a Port-of-Spain Mag­is­trate charged with pos­ses­sion of mar­i­jua­na. The sus­pect en­tered Trinidad and To­ba­go at the air­port when he was held by of­fi­cers of the Or­gan­ised Crime, Nar­cotics and Firearms Bu­reau.

He was tak­en to the Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he was X-rayed.

Sev­er­al for­eign sub­stances were al­leged to be seen in­side his body. He was placed un­der po­lice guard and ward­ed. De­tec­tives said the sus­pect ex­cret­ed 100 mar­i­jua­na pel­lets from No­vem­ber 12 to 19. Al­so, a Niger­ian woman will ap­pear be­fore an Ari­ma mag­is­trate, charged with hav­ing a false doc­u­ment. Po­lice said the woman was held at the air­port on Fri­day with a false dri­ver's li­cence. She was at­tempt­ing to board a flight to the Unit­ed States, de­tec­tives said.
