The police have made no arrests in connection with the theft of several items belonging to soca superstar Ian "Bunji Garlin" Alvarez. Five ICD flat screen television sets were reportedly stolen from Alvarez's home at the "Orchards" in Maraval.
A report said that on December 2, Alvarez had the televisions moved to his home which is currently under construction. When the entertainer checked last Wednesday around 3.30 pm, the items were missing. The items were valued at $42,000, police said.
Two men were subsequently held by the police for questioning.
Search warrants were issued at the houses of the two suspects but failed to yield any clues as to the stolen items. PC Marcelle of the Maraval Police is continuing investigations. Attempts to contact Alvarez or his wife, Faye Ann Lyons, proved futile.
