A 27-year-old man was gunned down as he stood out­side Movi­eTowne, Port-of-Spain, on Sun­day night.

Po­lice said po­lice were on pa­trol near PriceS­mart at Movi­eTowne, at 8:18 pm when they heard gun­shots.

On check­ing the area they found Odell Samuel bleed­ing from gun­shot wounds while par­tial­ly hang­ing from the pave­ment on the Au­drey Jef­fers High­way out­side Movi­eTowne.

Po­lice from the St James CID vis­it­ed the scene with a dis­trict med­ical of­fi­cer who de­clared Samuel dead at 8:30 pm.

Po­lice from the West­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force and the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion I al­so vis­it­ed the scene.
