Digicel (Trinidad & Tobago) has confirmed that its Experience Store in Port of Spain was robbed, with fake couriers making off “with a sum of cash”.
The Digicel Experience Store—located at Independence Square, Port of Spain—was closed for much of today to facilitate an investigation into the incident.
In an official statement, the company revealed that it is working closely with the Police Service on the matter.
“Armed perpetrators, posing as officers from a security cash-in-transit company, made off with a sum of cash,” Digicel said in its release.
“Digicel places top priority on the safety of its customers and employees and is fully cooperating with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), who are actively investigating this matter,” it stated.
The company said it is “committed to supporting law enforcement efforts to bring those responsible to justice.”
