Emergency repairs currently are being carried out on ruptured 16-inch diameter transmission pipeline located along the Southern Main Road, Otaheite, in order to ensure water supplies are restored to parts of South-West Trinidad served by the South Oropouche Booster.
An advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority explains that the repair works are expected to be completed by 8:00 pm today, Monday 4th April 2022.
However, WASA is reminding those currently affected by the interruption in their pipe borne supply that following the completion of these repair works, it may take up to 12 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas.
The affected areas include:
1. Areas supplied by South Oropouche Booster:
Along the Southern Main Road from Otaheite to La Brea, including
● Otaheite – SM Jaleel & Well Services
● Dow Village
● Mon Desir
● Rousillac
● Aripero
● Grants Trace
2. Area supplied by Thicke Village Booster:
● De Gannes Village
● Syne Village
● La Brea Trace
● Katwaroo Trace
● Ragoonanan Trace
● Batchyia Trace
● La Costena
● Dil Mohammed
● Bernnard Trace
● Debedial Road
