A female municipal police officer was arrested by police officers on Wednesday morning for allegedly breaching a protection order made against her by a male relative.
Police said a 52-year-old mechanic of Point Fortin visited the Point Fortin Police Station at 8 am on Labour Day and reported that he and the police officer had argued. He said she used threatening and obscene language before assaulting him.
After taking the mechanic’s report, PC Ramsumair and WPC Cobham, arrested the officer for breaching the protection order.
She is expected to appear before a Point Fortin Magistrate to answer the charges.
