An anti-crime exercise at Embacadere and the Bronx, San Fernando, resulted in the arrest of five (5) persons. The exercise which took place earlier today between the hours of 4:00 am and 8:00 am, saw several premises belonging to individuals known to the police being searched. According to police reports, four of the arrests were as a result of outstanding warrants and the fifth arrest was for possession of one (1) Glock19 firearm, one (1) magazine and fifteen (15) rounds of 9mm ammunition. Eleven (11) rounds 9mm ammunition and 357 grams of marijuana were also seized in an unoccupied open area during the exercise. The exercise was supervised by ASP Ali Mohammed, ASP John and coordinated by ACP Hodge Griffith, Snr. Supt. Mohammed and Supt. Nobbie. It included personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), various stations within the Southern Division as well as the Southern Division Task Force (SDTF), the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), the Guard and Emergency Branch (GEB), K-9 officers and municipal police.
