A fourth man has been charged with the murder of an Aranguez businessman, who was killed during a botched robbery in 2017.
Omar “Gully Bob” Cummings, 24, of Belmont Road, Port-of-Spain, was remanded into custody after appearing in the Port-of-Spain Magistrate’s Court, on Wednesday.
In addition to being accused of murdering businessman Saisnarine Ningwah on November 12, 2017, Cummings was also charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition.
According to reports, Ningwah was at his home at Nanan Street West, Aranguez, when three armed men entered.
Ningwah reportedly struggled with his attackers and was shot several times by one of them. The men escaped with an undisclosed quantity of cash.
Shortly after the incident, Yasin Rasheed-Gill, 26, a soldier, his 22-year-old cousin Kendell Gill and Augustus Patrick, 23, all of Enterprise, Chaguanas, were charged with killing Ningwah.
Ningwah’s murder investigation was led by ASP Sean Dhilpaul of the Region Two Homicide Bureau. PC Noel Wren charged Cummings.
