A 27-year-old labour­er was shot dead in Fyz­abad on Thurs­day night.

Po­lice said An­gel Williams, of Dubar­ry Street, off Dehli Road, lived not too far from where he was killed.

Res­i­dents said they heard sev­er­al loud ex­plo­sions around 8.40 pm and called the po­lice.

When the po­lice ar­rived, they found Williams’ life­less body on the ground at the cor­ner of Khan Street and Dehli Road with mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds.

Po­lice re­cov­ered 35 spent shells and three live rounds of 9mm am­mu­ni­tion at the scene.

When con­tact­ed by Guardian Me­dia, Williams’ moth­er and aunt de­clined to com­ment on his mur­der.

Of­fi­cers of the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion 3 are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
